The Weimar Republic

The Weimar is usually forgotten in European history, often referred to as the 'between' period of the Kaiser and Hitler.  The Weimar is more important than that.  It was a period where the discontents of Imperial Germany caught up with the society, and when Europe was recovering.  No nation suffered worse than Germany.

The Kaiser abdicated and spent the rest of his days in Holland.  This brought a new Government; the Weimar Republic, named after the new capital: Weimar.

Ebert and his new government would have to try and put a broken country back together.  They would face opposition from both the left and the right, as well as the people.  A seemingly impossible task.
